2018 BMW 2 Series Coupe Price and Release Date – A few years ago, someone at BMW thought it would be fun to put a magical name that game. Instead of series 1 sold as a coupe, convertible, three-door, or five-door, BMW decided to take the model of coupe and convertible and call them the series 2. A bit confusing initially, but many have come out of it. Series 2 coupe is larger than the model it replaces and comes complete with a four-cylinder engine that is more powerful and offered better fuel efficiency than the V-6 coupe series 1. And, of course, do not forget that we are also blessed with BMW M2. There came models in 2018, and overall 2 Series lineup scheduled to update. BMW’S PR talk will make you believe that we were talking about the new generation model, but to be honest, its pretty thin for 2018. Exterior changes are limited to new lighting units, while the interior gets a little strip sign revised and updated iDrive infotainment system. As far as motivation goes, you have the option of milling three, four, and six-cylinder (depending on market) that produce between 136 and 340 horsepower.
Just to be clear, BMW says 2018 BMW 2 Series is a model of the new gene, but all the evidence suggests otherwise. The changes are minimal, and series 2 really new there since the year 2014, so it doesn’t make sense if the new gene models immediately delivered so quickly. With that said, let’s take a closer look the 2018 model will be offered when the went on sale in July 2017.
2018 BMW 2 Series Coupe Exterior
If you read the BMW press release, this will lead you to believe that having some exterior updates are important – things like large lattice, for example-but in fact, there is actually no significant changes on the exterior. In the future, you will see the same hood, grille, and while there are some changes to the front fascia, are mostly the same. The striking difference here is that the ventilation the angle has changed slightly. They are now thinner, and a little longer, and features a unique new inserts compared to nets in the midst of the air dam.
The General design of the same fascia continues, including the design and the design of ventilation around the corner angle. The only other significant changes here are the headlamps, which have the same shape and size, and even has the same eyelids, but now it has a more angular LEDS around the projector bulb. The turning part of the light is also longer and more slender, for what it’s worth. Now, don’t get me wrong. I think the 2 Series is a beautiful car for what it is, so I don’t believe it really requires a lot of changes after only three years was marketed. So, while I would like to see at least the front and rear fascia, and probably a better design for a new back light, this update is not that bad, really.
2018 BMW 2 Series Coupe Interior
At a glance, you can not really pay attention to a lot of things in terms of changes between 2018 and the current model. But, with a trained eye, you can see some changes. The most noticeable change is the redesigned dashboard. Where is the line of dash on the current model is the angle and well defined, the dashboard model 2018 more curved and presented fluently. The instrument cluster is practically the same, but the gauges now has the face of a black gloss. A new trim inserts now surround the central HVAC and ventilation extends across the passenger side dash, replace insert endcap on the current model. Several features help drivers such as active cruise control and lane departure warning is available, but there are options and will refund your extra cheddar.
2018 BMW 2 Series Engine
BMW has not been too specific as far as concerns the drivetrain Department. However, we know that, depending on the market, there will be a machine three, four, and six-cylinder was available to take. As a comparison, you can get the Audi TT as little as $43.500 in the form of basic or $52.500 for TTS. Obviously, there are no models that compete well with 230i style, but the moment you stepped into the M240, competition is strong. With the C-Class Coupe, it is a similar story with minimal deep $42,650 C300 Digger in the form of entry level or if you choose a $44,650 C300 4MATIC. For those who love wild life, coupe C43 will reach the bank for $55.500, while base C63 will hit you at least $67,000. C63 S is the most expensive of them all at a price of $75,000.
